Barcino Designs has proudly participate in the second edition of the charity dinner “Companies caring for childhood”, in benefit of the Sant Joan de Deu Hospital in Barcelona, a pioneering and world-renowned center specialized in child oncology treatment and research. The dinner was held on 7th March 2019 at the International Convention Center of Barcelona, which altruistically handed over the space.
During the celebration, we were able to know about the testimony of Candela, one of the survivor patients of the children’s plant of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, who sincerely thanked us for the solidarity contribution to this cause, and encouraged us all to continue collaborating with this much-needed project.

We also attended the speech of the SJD Hospital manager, Mr. Manel Castillo, who detailed to the public the magnitude of the SJD Hospital financial project, which is currently immersed in its second phase, and which includes the following objectives:
- Investigate new treatments for solid and liquid tumors of childhood cancer
- Improve the patients’ hospital experience by expanding the program known as “Hospital Amic”
- Create a private fund for treatments dedicated to patients without resources
Through the financial support of the participating companies, we managed to raise the sum of € 76,950, which will be specifically adressed to the private fund of oncological treatments for children without resources from countries where it is currently impossible to find a cure.
We hope to have contributed to a necessary cause, and to be able to continue collaborating in the future.
